Sporting Program

We offer a range of sporting programs at St Elizabeth's.

Swimming

Swimming lessons are offered for students in Prep to Year 6. Years 1 to 5 have swimming lessons in Terms 1 and 4, while Preps only swim in Term 4.  Year 6 students engage in swimming in Term 1 and then participate in Water Polo in Term 4.

Swimming lessons are conducted at the Yeronga Pool by trained coaches and children are transported to the pool by bus.

We also participate in swimming carnivals as a school.  In Term 1 we hold a carnival for our older students, while Term 4 is a fun carnival for our students in Years Prep to 2.  Successful swimmers represent St Elizabeth's at District Level.

Athletics

St Elizabeth's hold an athletics carnival for students in Years 3 to 6, and a smaller scale carnival for students in Prep to Year 2.

Cross Country

A Cross Country for children in Years 3 to 6 takes place in Term 2. All children are encouraged to participate, with the length of the laps varied according to year level.  There is a modified version of the Cross Country for children in Prep to 2.

Inter School Sport

Students in Years 4 and 6 participate in inter school sports in Term 2. This is an opportunity for students to be involved in regular competitive sport and to represent the school.
