Catholic Education Week

Catholic Education Week will be celebrated across Queensland from 29th July to 4th August. This is an annual event held to promote the ethos of Catholic schools and to highlight the great things that occur each day in our schools. The theme this year is ‘Discovering New Horizons’, aligning with the theme of the Year of Youth.

As part of a Catholic education, students are challenged to make a difference, living out the message of Jesus to be compassionate, contributing members of society. Our recent collection of items for displaced children, in support of Micah Projects, is one example of how our community responds to this call. We will hold a liturgy on Wednesday, 1st August at 2.00pm to celebrate Catholic education and the opportunities afforded to our students. A representative from Micah Projects has been invited to join us to receive the donations. Families are also most welcome to join us.
