 Catholic Identity

 Policy

The Catholic Identity and Faith Development of St Elizabeth’s is expressed through:-

  • Collaboration with our parish community.
  • Articulating and celebrating the Catholic ethos and charism of our school.
  • Creating an environment that is identifiably Catholic.
  • Practising Christian hospitality through word and action to all in our community.

Rationale

As a Catholic Parish primary School we value and embrace the archdiocesan vision of Jesus Communion and Mission. Religious Education and faith development is both informing and transforming. Religious Education includes both teaching students religion and supporting the faith formation and development of all community members.

Values

As Catholic Educators we hold fundamental values that are foundations to our work with students, parents and colleagues.  We value:

  • Our Catholic Christian Tradition
We continually draw upon our Catholic Christian tradition to grow and renew ourselves as Church.
  • Dignity and Justice for All
We are all made in the likeness and image of God.
  • Catholic Christian Community
We are a Catholic Christian community who is empowered by the Holy Spirit to be at the service of others.
  • Stewardship
We are called to be stewards of a sustainable future.
